Perfectionism in our Brain

Welcome back my friends!

I truly hope you are moved with positive thoughts about yourself and your relationship with your body after last weeks discussion.

Bringing that topic away from an intimate personal subject and back to how does this apply in my business or general life, lets talk about Perfectionism.

I have struggled with this often in my life.

When I was younger and doing my schooling, I expected straight A’s from myself all the time.

Anything less than an A wasn’t even on my radar as an acceptable outcome.

Then I took a college course that really challenged this expectation…

See I took 18 credits in one semester and accidentally ended up in an engineering math class…

I am not an engineer….and I wasn’t going to school to be one.

See where the problem could be?

Speaking with a loved one about my struggles, I was reminded that acknowledging I am not perfect is ok.

I came to realize that I had some really negative thoughts about my identity related to this perfectionism

I wasn’t enough….

If I can’t get all A’s in every class, who am I?

But I overcame these thoughts by learning to manage them and keep things in perspective.

Whether its in your business or your personal life, it is so important to model your thoughts appropriately.

Today’s episode is critical for those of us who hold high standards for ourselves and others.

Today we shine a spotlight on:
