What can I do about Burnout?

Ready for another week my Brain Warriors?

We are back for the conclusion of my two-part series on Burnout.

Last week we discussed how we can recognize some of those symptoms and causes of burnout and excess stress.

Hopefully you were able to spend a few quiet moments thinking about where your stressors come from and whether they are internal or external.

And in examining that, I recognize some of you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed with this level of introspection.

I hear you and validate that.

I have been on the same path and had those similar feelings.

I am here for you.

Today we are going to cover a number of tools that are proven to help reduce your stress levels.

Some of these tools you can implement right away like Box Breathing and Meditation.

Some of my recommendations may require you to talk with your doctor and your employer about longer term needs.

Some of you may feel you need to work with me directly to overcome this and I am here as a resource for that intensive help.

If you are feeling these feelings, remember that you did not get to this place of burnout overnight.

So, you need to give yourself permission to take the time it will need to heal.

Take a breath, pause and let’s talk about what we can do about it.

Join me to further our discussion:

  • Review the symptoms and causes of burnout & extreme stress.

  • Discuss some short-term techniques you can employ to help start managing and healing.

  • Learn about longer term solutions that you may need to consider including your diet, healthcare, employment situation and one-on-one coaching
